At Hope Psychology and Mental Health Services, we walk alongside children (from birth), young people, adults, and families through life’s challenges. We know that every person and family is unique, so our support is always personal, intentional, and shaped around your individual story and needs.
-
Our team supports people with a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, stress, trauma, emotional regulation, behavioural challenges, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, parenting programs and more. Whether you’re seeking help for your child, yourself, or your family, we’ll meet you right where you are and work together toward healing and growth.
-
Yes. We offer specialised assessments for children, adolescents, and adults to support understanding of neurodiversity, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum assessments, as well as learning, emotional, and developmental profiles. These assessments can help identify strengths, needs, and strategies for support at home, school, or work.

You’re very welcome to contact us directly to book a session. If you’d like to access Medicare rebates, your GP can prepare a Mental Health Care Plan to support your referral. We’re happy to guide you through this process if you’re unsure where to start.
-
The first session is a gentle introduction — a chance for us to listen, understand what’s been happening, and explore what you’re hoping for. For children and young people, we often include parents or caregivers, as we believe that healing happens best when families are supported together.
-
Most sessions run for around 50 minutes, giving us time to talk, reflect, and begin setting small, meaningful goals for growth and wellbeing.
-
Everyone’s journey is different. Some people find weekly or fortnightly sessions helpful at first, while others space them out as things begin to feel more settled. We’ll work with you to find a rhythm that feels right for your needs and pace.
-
We understand that life can be busy and plans may change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time, or missed sessions without notice, may incur a cancellation fee. This helps us keep appointments available for other families in need of support. -
Yes. What you share with us stays private and confidential. The only exceptions are if there are serious concerns about safety or where the law requires information to be shared — and we’ll always talk with you openly about this if it arises.
-
Yes, we do. You can choose to meet with us in person or online through a secure platform. We want you to feel comfortable, supported, and connected — wherever you are.
-
You can reach out to us by phone or email, and we’ll gently guide you through the booking process. We know that taking the first step can feel big — we’re here to make it easy, caring, and supportive.
-
Our fees depend on the type of session or assessment and the practitioner you see. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Some private health funds also offer rebates. Please contact us and we can help you understand your options. There is access for Victims of Crime Counselling available.
-
Absolutely. We believe that families grow best together. Parents and caregivers play a vital role in a child’s wellbeing, and we often work collaboratively with families to strengthen connection, communication, and confidence at home.
